Lorenzo Orlandi studied illustration at the School of Applied Arts of Castello Sforzesco in Milan, Italy. Lorenzo has been an illustration teacher at Scuola del fumetto in Milano, Italy, for 24 years. He worked as an illustrator with the established Italian publisher, Mondadori, from 1983 to 1994 and with the established German publisher, Gruner + Jahr, from 2005 to 2013. Lorenzo works for advertising agencies, magazines, and publishers worldwide. He specializes in illustrating books for young people. Lorenzo paints illustrations with black and white lines, watercolors, gouache, acrylics, airbrush, oil, and techniques mixed with Photoshop and Corel Painter. Lorenzo loves to illustrate subjects from natural history, prehistory, wildlife, the environment, costumes, and corporate advertising.
