Manuela Berti was born in a small town near Milan, Italy, in October 1984. The first thing that she remembers of her childhood was drawing a big fish on the wall of her kitchen with a magic marker. From that day onwards she decided she wanted to draw for the rest of her life. After finishing an arts program in high school, she attended a school for graphic design in Milan. She later moved to Rome where she attended the International School of Comics and started to work as a 2d animator. Manuela now lives near Monza and works as a children’s illustrator. She she has two dogs and one day would like to have a parrot, too!
