DON’T TICKLE THE DINOSAUR winner at the BookTrust Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Awards 2020!

Milan Illustrations Agency´s CEO, Shefalika Marescotti, is proud to announce that Don’t Tickle the Dinosaur,  illustrated by Ana Martin-Larranaga  for Usborne Publishing, has won the Baby & Toddler prize at the BookTrust Sainsbury’s Children’s Book Awards 2020.

Children all around the world love the Touchy-Feely Sounds series with patches that allow them to hear each animal. MIA extends heart-felt congratulations to Ana Martin-Larranaga as well as the entire Usborne team behind this very special series of children´s books.

Marina Durante at Golden Turtle Art in Moscow!

Great news for our illustrator Marina Durante: her oil painting “The Stranger” was in fact selected as a finalist by the jury of the prestigious Golden Turtle Art in Moscow.

Golden Turtle is the largest international cultural and ecological event in Russia, dedicated to celebrating the beauty of the wildlife.

Silent Book Contest at Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2018

Among the 9 finalists in the SILENT BOOK CONTEST organized by Carthusia Editore and Bologna Children’s Book Fair 2018 there will be Angelo Ruta, one of our talented illustrators.

Marina and Annalisa Durante finalists for the Global Illustration Award

Almost time to announce the winner of the Global Illustration Award, one of the most prestigious competition for illustrators from all over the world!
Marina and Annalisa Durante are already among the ten finalists for the Scientific Illustration Category with their sea poster Cetaceans and among the twenty finalists for Advertisement & Editorial Illustration Category with their Fruit Candy Box.

The proclamation will take place at Frankfurter Buchmesse on Wednesday 3th October.

“It is inevitable”: Elisa Moriconi finalist in Talenthouse contest

Elisa Moriconi has been announced one of the ten finalists in Talenthouse contest.

The contest’s been promoted by Warner Bros and Talent House to amplify the launch of the new movie King Arthur: Legend of the Sword , the new epic fantasy action adventure film direct by Guy Ritchie and foreseen in next May 2017.

From around the world many artists participated in this international competition with own works. They could create artworks that capture the film’s fresh, contemporary twist on the classic King Arthur tale. using different techniques.

Elisa Moriconi’s artwork for Talenthouse contest

Considerable freedom with regard to the choiceGreat freedom about the choice of technique: Elisa has been selected with a gouache on paper entitled It is inevitable.

The ten selected pieces of artwork will be featured in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’s marketing campaign leading up to the release of the film. The best illustration will be used by Warner Bros to promote the new movie.

Fabiano Fiorin Award

The Big Book of Big Animals published by Usborne and illustrated by Fabiano Fiorin has been voted for children of Basque Schools as one of their favourite book of the year!

The Navarra Federation of Ikastolas organises the annual JUUL Campaign to foster the love of reading and to give awards and recognition to the most-voted illustrators and authors.
