Marco Marella
Marco is a professional freelance illustrator with extensive and years-long experience in editorial and cover illustration. He started his freelance career back in the late 80s after attending the illustration course at Chelsea School of Art in London, UK. Since then, he worked for virtually all Italian publishers, magazines, and newspapers (really).
His artworks also appeared in US, UK, and French magazines and book covers (among his clients: the Washington Post, the Village Voice, Family Circle Magazine, Disney Hyperion Publishing, la Repubblica, Mondadori, Giunti…). He is also very active in the product and licensing market, providing artworks for greeting cards, calendars, paper wraps, and textile patterns (some clients: Hallmark USA, Legami Milano, WHSmith, Papyrus, Target, Publix Supermarkets…). Finally, he loves drawing maps and illustrating recipes!
